Photo tips

Chose the right photo for your painting

For the best result of your Portrait, please send us the highest quality and resolution digital image or print photo that you can manage and send us more than one photo for our artists to work with. Our profession artists will review every photo to get the best results of your Portrait, before they star painting.

A good photo should focus the subject clearly, the subject should fills up most of the photo. Our professional artist should work with plenty of details on the facial features. If the photo is blurred, foggy, too dark or too bright, these will effect the final result of your portrait painting.

Take many photographs

All professional photographers know that the only way to come up with truly great shots is take lots of pictures. First of all, the practice will help you get better. More importantly, if you explore your subject a little longer than usual, you are likely to either get lucky, or you might discover a new angel or pose that really works.
To a certain extent, this is all about numbers. If you take twice as many photographs, you will double your chances of getting something really special.

Make sure you like the photo

Normally, your portrait will be very close to what your photo looks like.  While the artist can make minor changes (such as removing a few stray hairs from the face), it is extremely difficult for an artist to change a frowning face into a smiling face.
