How it Works

Everything we create is custom made and hand drawn. Our artists use oils, charcoal and pencil to create lively portraits in whichever size you choose. Commissioning a custom portrait using such classical media is truly an elegant way to capture your memories.
1: You upload the photo:

Chose the type, medium and size of portrait you would like from a series of options listed in the Order section of www.paintaportrait.com. Then upload the photo onto this section or send us a hardcopy of what you would like turned into a painting and pay only a 20% deposit.
2: We start painting:

Our artists specialize in different styles of painting and based on your images we chose the artist most suited to your requirements.

When our artists have completed your hand-made oil painting, we check the work first. If the work does not meet out exacting quality standards, it is repainted.
3: We upload a photo:

After final approval we upload a copy of your painting onto our site and inform you of this by e-mail.
4: You send us feedback:

If you would like any changes made to your painting, we can make modifications according to your feedback and will then upload the modified painting onto our site. Once you have confirmed the final version you will be asked to pay the balance.

5: We deliver your painting:

Your painting will either be rolled in a tube or wrapped in gallery wrap and then shipped by DHL or a similar international courier service directly to your door.
